What data we process, why, and how you can control it. Version of 26 September 2026.

In short

  • We do not use cookies to track visitors – no analytics, no advertising.
  • We only show the Google map and virtual tour if you agree.
  • We use enquiry details only to reply, and keep them for no longer than 2 years.

Who processes your data?

Agave restaurant is run by UAB „Tekilos namai“, company code 303310256, registered office Geležinio Vilko g. 21A-25, Kaunas, Lithuania. The restaurant is at Rotušės a. 3, Kaunas. Email info@agave.lt.

Below we call ourselves “we”. We may update this policy – the date of the latest version is always shown at the top of the page. The Lithuanian version is here.

Which cookies do we use?

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. The cookie types here are the same as in the cookie notice that appears when you open the website. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies.

Necessary cookies

Without them the website could not remember your choice. They are always on and do not track you.

Google map and virtual tour

Provided by Google Ireland Limited and loaded only with your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). Google then receives your IP address and may set its own cookies. Until you agree, a “Show map” button appears instead of the map. See Google’s privacy policy.

Table booking and gift voucher windows

This is the meniu.lt system, which you open yourself to book a table or order a voucher. It uses its own cookies and shows its own cookie notice.

How can I control cookies?

You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of the page. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings – the website will then ask for your choice again.

What do we do with enquiries?

When you write to us, we process only what you give us:

  • enquiry form (Events page) – name, phone, email, date of the event, number of guests, occasion, chosen tasting and your wishes;
  • email – your email address, the date and content of the message;
  • Facebook and Instagram messages – your name and the conversation. Meta also processes these messages under its own privacy policy;
  • post – the sender’s name, address and the content of the letter.

We use this data to reply, prepare an offer and keep a record of what was agreed. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in communicating with you (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) and, once you book an event, entering into and performing a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).

If you mention allergies, we use them only to choose your dishes and only with your explicit consent (GDPR Art. 9(2)(a)).

We keep enquiries and correspondence for as long as needed, but no longer than 2 years from receipt.

What about bookings and vouchers?

You book a table and buy gift vouchers through the meniu.lt system, which handles the order and payment. We receive what we need to serve you: name, phone, email, booking time and number of guests, and for vouchers, the buyer and voucher details.

The legal basis is entering into and performing a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)). We keep booking data for up to 24 months after your visit. Accounting records related to purchases are kept for 10 years, as required by the Lithuanian Law on Accounting.

Who do we share data with?

  • our website hosting and email provider – only so that the website and email work;
  • meniu.lt – for bookings and gift vouchers;
  • Google – only if you agree to show the map or tour. Google may also process data in the USA under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework;
  • public authorities – only where the law requires it.

We do not sell your data or pass it on to others for advertising.

What are your rights?

You have the right to:

  • access your data and get a copy;
  • ask us to correct inaccurate data;
  • ask us to delete your data;
  • ask us to restrict processing;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interest;
  • receive your data in a machine-readable format (portability);
  • withdraw your consent at any time – for cookies, via “Cookie settings”.

Write to info@agave.lt from the same email address you used with us, or send a letter to our registered office. We will reply within 1 month. If we cannot be sure the request comes from you, we will ask for more information.

If you believe we handle your data incorrectly, you can contact the State Data Protection Inspectorate of Lithuania: L. Sapiegos g. 17, 10312 Vilnius, ada@ada.lt, vdai.lrv.lt.
